Elva Perry Mosley was born on January 1, 1919. She came to her demise on April 6, 1988, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ellen Perry. All of her life, she resided in the Felton - Harrington area. Her regular attendance at John Wesley A. M. E. Church was halted due to her illness.
Elva and her loving husband, Kermit (deceased 1983), were united in Holy Wedlock in 1937 for 46 years. Their union was blessed with 13 children. All but one remain to cherish their parents love and memory.
Family and love epitomize the full and happy life that Elva enjoyed. During her forty-six years of marriage and until her health was impaired, Elva diligently cared for and nurtured her family.
The size of her own family did not prevent Elva from sharing her great wealth of love with her parents and siblings, her children and their families, and the children of her many relatives, friends and neighbors that visited her home.
Elva's humble demeanor and radiant disposition was always pleasant. That ever present smile of hers left no doubt of her warmth and gentleness. It was full of love and peace. Never complaining about her existence, she seemed quite satisfied with herself and her life.
Both Elva and Kermit were highly respected within their families and the community. It was a well deserved tribute for the pride and togetherness of their family.
The care and love Elva gave to her children was readily and unselfishly returned, during her confinement. Their concern and attention towards their mother is a true testimony of her life. A life well-lived filled with an abundance of love and happiness.
Elva shall be sadly lamented but affectionately remembered by all who knew and loved her, especially the following: her adoring children; Donald, Ellen, Pearl, Nelson, Doris, James, Joyce, Randall, Charles, Kenneth, Richard and Darlene and their mates; her cherished (36) grandchildren and (21) great grandchildren; her loving sister and brothers; Lula and Isaac, both of Harrington, James of Felton, Harold of Frederica and Randall of Columbus, GA; her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
