1. Obituary: Anna M. Pierce of Millville died Friday in Bridgeton Hospital. She had been n failing health for the past 2 years. Born in Swarthmore, Pa., the daughter of the late Isaac J. and Mildred C. Driggus Green, she was the wife of Mayhew G. Pierce Sr. She had lived in Millville for the past 50 years and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Anna M. Mosley and Carol Pierce, both of Millville; Bertha E. Durham of Seaford, Del., Lillian M. Wilson of Cheswold, Del., Rosella Gould of Fairton and Alice M: Steward of Bridgeton; a son, Mayhew J. Pierce Jr. of Millville; a brother, Oliver R. Green of Cedarville; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Isaac Green Jr., Robert C. Green, Carl H. Green and Alexander C. Green, and two sisters, Lillian Lloyd Green and Dorothy F. Green.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Lively Funeral Home, 656 E. Commerce St., with the Rev. Nyada Clark, pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made at Gouldtown Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.

Commerce St., Bridgeton, on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. Interment at Gouldtown Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to the services.

Obituary: Clarence Wilson, 60, of Cheswold, died Saturday of heart failure in Kent General Hospital, Dover. Mr. Wilson had been a truck driver at George C. Rothwell Co. of Smyrna, retiring in 1979. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Delaware Pony Breeders Association, Dover, and International Trotting and Racing Association, Hanover, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; and three sisters, Grace Davis and Elizabeth Davis, both of Dover, and Mae Carter of Cheswold.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, Reed and Bradford streets, Dover, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver R. Green of Cedarville were the guests of honor at a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party held April 3rd at Benjamin's Restaurant in Bridgeton with their daughter, Ellen Green, serving as the hostess. Fifteen members of their family and friends were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Green were married April 8, 1944 at the Cedarville Baptist parsonage by the Rev. Starr. They are planning a vacation in Cape May and Lewes, Del.

Oliver R. Green, 76, of Cedarville died Monday May 15 in his home.
Born in Media, Pa., son of Issac and Mildred Driggiss Green, he was the husband of the late Ellen Mosley Green.

He had lived in Lawrence Township for more than 50 years and earlier resided in Upper Deerfield Township.

Before his retirement 11 years ago, he had been employed with Lawrence Township Department of Streets and Roads for several years. He had previously worked at Martin Dye and Finishing Co. in Bridgeton.

He was a member of Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indians and was a tribal elder with that organization. He enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen, of Cedarville. He was predeceased by five brothers, his twin, Alexander, James, Isaac, Robert and Carl; and two sisters, Anna Pierce and Lillian Lloyd.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Padgett Funeral Home, 160 Main St., Cedarville, where friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedarville.

Ellen H. Green, 77, of Cedarville died Wednesday at home.

Born in Sayres Neck, Lawrence Township, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Driggriss Mosley, prior to her retirement last September she was employed with the Downe Township Elementary School with administrative duties. She was a substitute teacher for the past 25 years. She also assisted her husband in the operation of his construction business.

She was a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church, a former Girl Scout Leader in Cedarville and was an avid seamstress and gardener.

Surviving are her husband, Oliver R., and a daughter, Mary Ellen Green of Cedarville. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Mary Elmira Wright

The Rev. James Goolsby will officiate services at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Padgett Funeral Home, 160 Main St., Cedarville, where friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedarville. Contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of the South Jersey Pines, P.O. Box 948, Newfield, N.J., 08344 or Hospice-Care of South Jersey, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, N.J., 08360.
